CMA offers a variety of educational seminar topics. The seminars are provided regularly for Law Firms, Insurance Carriers and TPAs.

Arnold T. Berman, M.D. is the Executive Medical Director of CMA. Dr. Berman is a native Philadelphian. He attended Hahnemann Medical College, and completed his orthopedic residency. Dr. Berman also completed a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University, Post Graduate School of Medicine in total joint replacements. He completed a fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in Upper Extremity surgery and had his spine training at the Crippled Children’s Hospital in Elizabethtown.

After completing years of prestigious training he returned to Hahnemann where he served for the next thirty years as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation. During that time he developed an international reputation in joint replacement, trauma, spinal and upper extremity surgery. He performed surgery on Mayor Frank Rizzo’s hip fracture. Dr. Berman was appointed Medical Director of the City of Philadelphia’s Workers’ Compensation Clinic where he served for the next sixteen years.

In addition to his active private practice, Dr. Berman has served as the District Medical Advisor for the United States Department of Labor, Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs encompassing five States. He has extensive knowledge of the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Impairment, 6th Edition and has lectured extensively to Law Firms and insurance Companies.

CMA was originally founded in 1992 by Jill H. Heidel, RN, CCM, as Case Management Associates (CMA).

In 1995, CMA opened their first on-site IME facility in Berks County, Pennsylvania, and became the leader in offering insurance companies, employers, attorneys, case management professionals, and TPA's Independent Medical Examinations.

CMA was the first IME service facility to establish satellite offices outside of Philadelphia, and create the first proprietary IME software program for the industry.

For nearly fifteen years, CMA has been offering comprehensive Independent Medical Evaluations and related services by fully qualified, board-certified, pre-credentialed providers. CMA currently provides services on-site in 10 locations in Pennsylvania and provider offices nationwide.
